About
I am a counselor based in Friendswood, Texas, serving individuals, children, and families throughout the greater Houston area. My approach is grounded in evidence-based counseling, including EMDR for trauma and grief, while providing a warm, welcoming space where people feel genuinely heard and supported.
Before becoming a counselor, I spent many years serving families as a mother of eight children, adoptive parent, homeschool educator, Army veteran, and founder of a support group for foster and adoptive families. These experiences gave me firsthand insight into trauma, loss, parenting challenges, family transitions, resilience, and faith.
For clients who desire it, I offer a Christ-centered, faith-integrated approach, though counseling is always guided by your goals and beliefs, and people from all backgrounds are welcome.
I am currently pursuing advanced training in play therapy and use evidence-based, child-centered approaches that support each child's unique developmental needs.
Whether you're facing anxiety, grief, trauma, relationship challenges, parenting concerns, or a difficult season of life, my goal is to provide a safe place where healing can begin and hope can grow. You don't have to carry it alone.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a well-researched therapy that helps the brain reprocess distressing memories so they lose their grip. It's especially effective for trauma, PTSD, difficult childhood experiences, and grief. We'll talk through whether it's a good fit for you.
Our first session is about getting to know each other. We'll talk about what brings you in, a bit of your history, and your goals. There's no pressure — it's simply a chance to see if we're a good fit to work together.
